  19. Probably not -- I don't believe warp supports win32s apps just yet --
  20. and when they do, don't expect it to be perfect.

  26. NT Server is for file servers, internet hosts, web servers, etc.

  28. NT Workstation is optimaized for single user usage (and provides all
  29. the connectivity to network in a business or internet evironment). It
  30. also provides OpenGL, which is a 3D API, for applications to use (if
  31. they recognize it -- Don't know if Lightwave will even notice it.) in
  32. addtion to bullet-proof pre-emptive multitasking.

  34. I'm a stand alone user using NT -- and connecting up to the Internet
  35. about twice a day with the built in TCP/IP and PPP capabilities, and I
  36. love it! There's nothing better than reading Usenet news while a
  37. rendering is cooking.

  44. I don't have anything against Warp -- In fact, I think that it is a
  45. very interesting OS which is technically astute.

  47. But the reality is -- almost every app in the world during the next
  48. few years will be written to win32 specs -- not OS/2. Unfortunatly,
  49. this turns OS/2 into an interesting, astute windows emulator. And
  50. while Warp may provide a better Windows that Windows 3.1(1) for win16
  51. apps, it has taken them a few years to get it down. And don't bet that
  52. win32 apps will be any easier for IBM to deal with.
